How to get newly remote teams to settle into new workflows?

With COVID-19 pandemic forcing teams who are used to "line of sight" and meeting room based communication styles to work remotely, how do we change our workflows/communication to better facilitate this new reality? It has to be done quickly and should use methods that will help us in the post pandemic environment as well.

Working From Home - A Dream for Some, A Nightmare for Others

While some of us dream of being able to work from home in our pajamas, away from the prying eyes of our bosses, and the endlessly distracting office gossip; there are people out there that find working from home to be dreadful & difficult to do. I have a few friends that while their work is all done remotely, they always get dressed and head out to a new location to work from because home is either too distracting, or... more »

How do I find higher-quality clients?

I do video work. Most of my clients have been gained via word-of-mouth. While the experiences are positive, they are low-paying and I am doing all of the work. I want to get higher-paying clients that pay to cover a full film crew and allows me to purchase new equipment as needed. I just don't know where to go about finding them.

What's Your Problem?

How might I stay connected to my business partners and clients?

During the COVID-19 outbreak, social distancing is the norm. It is imperitive for my business that I remain connected in real time with my business partners and clients. Some use the same technology, other use different technology platforms or none at all.

What's Your Problem?

How might we support working families during the lockdown?

Many families have two working parents and young kids at home with no daycare. It definitely puts a strain on work and relationships at home. Any ideas for how to manage scheduling between parents and keeping the young kids occupied?

Serv Tracker from a volunteers prospective

How do we make serv tracker the best it can be for our volunteer drivers. Inconsistent language used in the app and route book count summaries is confusing. Map function relies on having good connectivity and detailed location maps to assist drivers to find their location. Maps doesn't work well with senior apartments or communities. Consolidating meal counts at a single driver stop. We should think of serv tracker which... more »

What's Your Problem?

Routes too long

How can we shorten the routes to allow more time for our drivers to socialize at a safe Covid distance with our seniors? Route lengths have increase. Routing is based on number of stops not actual drive times or physicality required for each stop. Apartment complexes are way more complex than a single family home in the burbs. We should commit to a standard that a volunteer route should not take more than 60-75 minutes... more »

Food choices

Having watched three parents age in place witnessing the challenges of daily life. Each having unique problems and situations. A husband and wife are not a single unit rather two people with two sets of varying challenges and two sets of food tastes. Having said all that... the one thing they all had in common was a fondness for hearty soups and ice cream. We don't serve either. We should figure out a way to delivery... more »

Food choices - focus on deserts

There is not a senior I have ever met that did not enjoy a small bite of a tasty desert. Now that we have our entrees solved with custom made frozen meals, how about adding homemade tasty deserts to the mix. Our deserts offerings appear to be an after thought and not a focus of our efforts. Let's make deserts our focus. Extraordinary deserts for our extraordinary senior clients. We could develop our own recipes and packaging,... more »
