Working closely with thought leaders, stakeholders and partners on a global scale, this challenge will invite the world to help us develop both short and long-term solutions that impact our environment, community and economy.
Who is participating?
In partnership with The Idea Guy®, Healing Lesvos invites our diverse residents, business owners, leadership, workforce and visitors to help create new ideas that solve our community issues, like alternative energy, new forms of tourism, use of vacant properties, ocean clean-up, immigration and social enterprise.
What are we doing?
Globally powered, Healing Lesvos 2020 uses this website and email to move quickly, and multiplies the power of the community by collaborating in a new way to solve our issues. Ideas can be submitted by any registered community member, and can receive feedback from other registered members in more than 30 languages.
How does this work?
Using the IdeaScale platform, Healing Lesvos 2020 participants will have the ability to share the opportunities they see in our community in their native language, and collect feedback from other participants in theirs. Submit your ideas, provide constructive feedback and vote on the ideas you think are best. Our community is transparent, and everyone is welcome to participate from any phone, tablet or computer, at any time of the day or night.
What do I need to participate?
This website can be accessed by any internet-enabled phone, tablet or computer. Each participant must register with a unique email account in order to distinguish one person from another. Once registered, participants will be guided by the website through adding an idea, posting a comment and voting. When someone makes a comment on an idea you submitted or are following, the website will send you an email.
What are the rules & guidelines?
Transparency is critical, so everyone must register online to participate, sharing their name, occupation, bio and their activity with other participants to provide context. When someone posts and idea, a comment or votes, we should all know who has done so. All ideas posted are public, and all conversations between participants are visible to participants. This community will be moderated to help everyone have a positive experience.
Why are we doing this?
We are doing this to provide a voice to everyone in our global community, and to identify the issues we each see from our unique perspectives. We are purposefully transparent, so we can all see the comments and decision-making that impacts the issues in our community.
